FaZe are the second team confirmed for IEM Sydney 2018, according to ESL Australia's announcement on Social Media. Shortly after SK's announcement, it has been revealed that the formidable European mix will join them in Sydney, with revenge on FaZe's mind following their 3-1 loss against SK in the 2017 edition's grand final. Improvements have been made to the Australian event including a $50,000 increase to the prize pool (now at $250,000) and the team list being doubled from last year (from eight to sixteen teams). IEM Sydney is scheduled to take place from May 1-6, featuring the new system being used at IEM Katowice, with six teams making the playoffs at Qudos Bank Area, where they'll play in front of a live audience on the last three days. IEM Sydney 2018 will be the largest esports tournament in Australia to date, with tickets being sold at Ticketek's website here.
